Julie Morgan
Julie Morgan maintains a studio in Heath, Texas where she creates fused glass. She has always been drawn to bright colors and bold designs; this is reflected in her work. “I enjoy the interplay of color when I design my pieces.”
She began her study of fused glass at the Creative Art Center, Dallas and moved on to study with Richard Parrish at the Corning Museum of Glass Studio, Corning, NY, with Paul Tarlow at Helios Glass, Austin, TX and Larry Pile, Dallas TX.
Julie has a B.A in Art History from Tulane University and a Master’s in Library Science from Texas Woman’s University. She enjoys serving as a judge for the annual Congressional Art Competition in her district. Retiring from her 20 year position as a librarian at the Dallas Museum of Art has allowed her to focus on her art glass full time. She was awarded 1st place at the 2017 Rockwall Art League Show.
